That's a really good suggestion (though maybe start with 10 minutes ). Physically embody the line, and directly experience what it's expressing to you, in your own bodily sensations.Try not moving your waist for an hour and see what happens.
I don't think there's enough detail about the situation/question to have much idea of what 52.3 might be saying to you here. You asked about your 'work mentality' but I don't really know what that includes. What is the changing Line 3 expressing to me?
Do you mean you are quoting? If so who is it ?I hope this helps you to allocate this “translation” to your current situation
Is this your own writing or is it a quote?Changes to (23) Splitting Apart. Forcing stillness on natural desires creates inner conflict. Splitting Apart can show a time of examining thoughts and feelings so that you can move forward consciously toward your desire. Keeping Still because of fear is not the same as moving freely while establishing boundaries. Some element of the situation requires more flexibility, rather than repression.
My interpretation of 25 is from “The complete I Ching” by Taoist Master Alfred HuangDo you mean you are quoting? If so who is it ?
I didn’t know I MUST do that. NotedSo if you are quoting an author you need to say who they are otherwise it is like theft.
I was just aiming to help this person to give a sense to the hexagram interpretation. I used all the resources that I normally use for myself as well. I did not think about being considered a theft, or other stuff. I was only aiming to help without other thoughts. You just quoted a chunk of Cafe au Soul by Kari Hohne but you didn't say that you used her words as if they were your own.
Mahalo wow thank you, I am really looking forward to really settling in with all you have offered. So much was coming through as I read your words. BlessingsI cast this line just yesterday! While thinking about it I wondered if the danger in the last phrase might be what causes the unnatural stillness. Is there anything you consider dangerous, anything you're afraid of about work? Fear of making mistakes or something, because obviously mistakes are dangerous? They can be, of course - imagine if you're a surgeon - but oftentimes mistakes are less dangerous than we might think.
52.3 as a description of work mentality...your waist is natural dividing line or boundary, but it's supposed to be flexible. In this line, it's become rigid and immovable like a mountain. (52 is made of two mountain trigrams: .) Try not moving your waist for an hour and see what happens. Yi's saying your work mentality is like that.
This is all so wonderful, mahalo thank you. I am moved. Experiencing a lot of emotional release in this new invitation immediately, your guidance resonates very deeply. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. BlessingsMy experience with 52 and the way I read from the book << The complete I Ching” by Taoist Master Alfred Huang >> is this:
52 means keeping still, which means to be tranquil and stable.
Keeping still expounds the opportunity of knowing when and where to stop in your actions before you go too far. It give you time to reflect and analyse.
The key to success is to know when to advance and when to stop. Never act blindly.
Line 3- it symbolises the waist. It represents a person who is too self-willed and intransigent. That person needs to keep still in the extreme. The situation that person (I guess you) is in give you trouble and this brings anger to your heart.
Changes to (23) Splitting Apart.

23 also means that the current is not a great situation for you. 23 is represented by a house who is about to fall apart (I guess your current work situation is not sustainable). This hexagram is related to month Oct-nov.
This hexagram suggests that in difficult moments like this is wise to remain calm and stable (like of what 52 was saying). 23 also suggests wise mind to know to adapt, wait and avoid initiatives.
I hope this helps you to allocate this “translation” to your current situation
Xxx
