Types of entry

There are two main kinds of entry:

  • Journal entries that belong to a specific day
  • Looseleaf entries – these still have a date, but don’t ‘belong’ to any particular day and are stored separately in the entry tree. Use these for collected reflections and notes.

Journal entries include

  • Dreams
  • Synchronicities
  • Yijing readings
  • General journal entries

Identifying an entry as a reading, dream, synchronicity or general entry will enable you to group them together later for search and comparison. If there are other kinds of experience you’d like to be able to group in the same way – meditation visions, for instance, or tarot spreads – you can store them as general journal entries and create a special tag to identify them.

You can also enter your own Yijing translations or glossary entries, which work as a special kind of looseleaf entry.
