This just in: the Princeton Multimedia I Ching CD-ROM is for sale on Ebay. As well as a choice of yarrow or coin computerised readings, it also includes a ‘library’ with the full Wilhelm/Baynes text and Helmut Wilhelm’s Eight Lectures on the I Ching. It’s thoroughly ‘vintage’ software (1996)… hm, wonder whether it would still run on Vista…?
Good question! I have a copy at home and I haven’t tried in my vista PC at the office (I use Mac at home nowadays…) I can tell you that the graphics and the whole environment of the software is very good (for a 1996 product…) If it works in Vista, I think it is worth the price.
Now I have to remember to bring it to the office… 🙂
I have this software which I bought when it was released. I loved it. But when I tried to run it recently – am on a MAC – I could not get it to run. If someone on a MAC can I would love to know. Just shows you the limits of what happens when systems gets updated. Maybe that’s why Princeton discontinued this program. There was a lot of good stuff on it but I can’t get to it.
