My posts here have been a tad sparse of late, and are about to get sparser. How come? Well, in theory the deadline to complete that new site design, with all its assorted rewritten content and behind-the-scenes programming, is 25th May. In practice…
(*pause for strange gibbering noises from the highest branch of a nearby tree*)
… well, it should be possible if I gallop, though a few extras may be filled in after the event. I actually quite like working to a deadline. Honestly.
I think you’ll like the new version. For one thing, it’ll be easier to get to all the I Ching information that’s currently scattered about the site: it’ll all be under a single ‘learn’ heading, in nice intuitive sections. Some clunky or muddled things (like the current question guide, which I’m far too embarrassed to link to) will become less clunky and muddled. You may find things you hadn’t seen before.
For another thing, this nice clarity of organisation will remind me where there are gaps. For instance, there’ll be a section of articles on individual hexagrams, all listed on one page. You’ll be able to see what’s there at a glance (instead of hunting through blog and newsletter archives), and so will I (so I’ll know which to write about next).
Basically, it’ll be easier on the eye, easier to find what you’re looking for, and easier for me to add new things.
At least, it will if I ever get it done. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have another 147 pages to sort out today, and a few surprised formerly-tree-dwelling caterpillars to get out of my hair…
The last few steps of a race always seem like the longest, but I’m sure you will finish with a flourish, and with your sanity still intact. 🙂
Just remember to Breathe!
Looking forward to the unveiling!
Thank you. It’s not happening today, though. The designer and I are pushing back the deadline by mutual agreement. In other words, neither of us is ready.
I’ll put breathing on the to-do list. 😉
