Hmm, I was one of the ones who tagged the email for later follow up – It is still tagged… I will follow up and buy… I really will!

However I pondered this ‘modesty’ and marketing the recording and pondered what other modesty other than low profile marketing might be taking place. (wink!)

So I asked the Yi about my idea that someone might not be promoting themselves or owning their self evident ability and authority in this field.

Well convention correctly prohibits me from printing the un-requested answer… I would be happy to email it to you if asked. Though I expect you have the hang of choosing your own stones by now - Grinning

Well... a) it wasn't that important. Same message applies anyway: a better subject line would have helped. So would going straight to the point in the first paragraph and explaining later, instead of taking my own sweet time about getting there. (Maybe if I'd stayed in the carriage...?)

And b) it was actually the reading that prompted me to go back to the stats, eventually. Not because it said directly, 'You twerp, what link do you think you're tracking?' - though yes, I've also had that kind of experience. But because it was describing a mild presentation problem, and I couldn't quite believe that was an adequate description of 2.3% response for a free gift. So either I was missing something glaring in the reading, or else I'd got something else wrong...

Why do you think Yi didn't somehow clue you in that you were looking at the wrong stats & therefore had the wrong thing in mind?

I think I've had that general sort of thing happen...being way off in what I'm even asking about, and Yi letting me know...

Actually, it needs an update. I looked at the reading and the stats again, and thought 'This is all very well, but really, how can Yi be telling me it's all basically OK if the response rate is that bad??' So looking again at the reading got me looking again at the stats, and finding I'd been counting the wrong ones.

 again...

It's actually more like 45% who downloaded the gift. Which is still a poor response rate for a gift, and one that needs explaining, but 22 to 15 is more 'in proportion' as a reasonable explanation.

Another sign that presentation is an issue...

The other day I was celebrating my first sale of 'Journey Images' - until I double-checked this person's subscriptions and found he was an ecourse customer - ie I'd already given him what he'd just paid me for. Maybe he's just being nice... but otoh, maybe he deleted the email. Something tells me I'd better send him a refund.

Oh, Hilary,

this really made me laugh. As one of the both customers who downloaded the whole session, I must confess, that I also were really close to unintentionally erasing the email in which it was offered.

Thank you so much for sharing both, the recording and the Yi's answer. It is good to have a guid in life like this one.

Warmly,

Soshin

Thanks for posting this! It's a terrific example. I for one would love more of this from time to time. :)

The only thing is, is that right-clicking to download doesn't seem to be working...
